Rush’n Attack is an action game released by Konami in 1986. The game is set in the cold war between Russia and the United States. Players will play as an elite guard of the United States military. They will control their character to move through dangers to advance to an enemy’s military base. Their mission after successfully invading the enemy’s military base is to rescue the captives.
During their journey, the player will take four stages in turn: the Marshalling area, the port, the airbase, and the Siberian camp. Their original weapon is a knife. At the beginning of the game, the player is taken to the first place: the Marshalling area. Immediately, enemy troops will appear from the front and back to attack the player. The character will use a knife to attack the enemy in front of him. With enemies behind, players can run away to avoid being injured from enemy weapons. After destroying the first enemy, they will collect some weapons such as rifles, grenades and bazooka guns.
In stages, there will be new types of enemies and they possess many powerful weapons. Initially, the player mostly sees the guards. They will take advantage of the subjectivity of the guards and destroy them with a knife. however, the number of enemies will increase and possess a variety of dangerous weapons such as grenades and machine guns at a later stage. At the end of each stage, the player must destroy an army that is arranged to hinder and destroy them. At the end of the first phase, players will meet a team of guards with machine gun weapons. The enemy at the end of phase 2 is a pack of ferocious hounds. They will charge directly to the player to attack them. At the end of phase three, they will have to fight a series of automatic firing machines. They need to move flexibly to avoid those bullets and find a safe place to destroy it. Passing stage three will bring players to the final stage. They faced an elite group of soldiers with weapons that were a flamethrower. If the player is killed, they will be taken to the beginning of the stage and replayed that stage.
To complete the mission quickly, players can choose a two-player mode to join their companions in dangerous battles. All enemies will be destroyed quickly when under attack from both sides. This will help players have fun experiences when exploring the stages in the game. The game ends when they complete their mission of destroying enemy bases and rescuing all prisoners.
