This creepypasta tells the story of a pirated version of Pokémon FireRed for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) in which it is possible to kill other trainers and Pokémon. The creepypasta was created before the Pokémon Black video game was made available for the Nintendo DS.
The narrator, at the beginning of the story, finds that a Pokémon with the name “Ghost” has been added to the usual line-up of Pokemon Red. This Pokémon has the sprite of ghosts from Lavender Town before the “sliph scope” item is acquired. The narrative continues with the narrator disclosing that the enigmatic Ghost Pokémon possessed a peculiar ability:
It should also be mentioned that if the player kept using the “curse” ability, the Pokémon trainer would vanish as well if they did not stop using it. The narrative comes to a close with an unusual battle against a Ghost Pokémon, in which the player is left defenseless as the Ghost Pokémon uses its “curse” ability to win against them. The narrator states that the final area of the game does not contain any other trainers or Pokémon.
