In the game GODS EATER BURST, the planet is overrun by monstrous mutated animals known as Aragami. The player has been recruited as a new member of an elite squad designed to wield the God Arc, the only weapon capable of destroying the Aragami and consuming the antagonistic gods. The player aims to defeat the Aragami and steal information and artifacts from them for research purposes. However, the player will quickly find that they are being sucked into a massive plot that will permanently alter the course of human history.
