Dungeon Siege II’s sequel, Throne of Agony, continues the tale from where the first game and its expansion pack left off: after the second cataclysm has changed the world of Aranna. Throne of Agony picks up the plot where the previous game and its expansion pack left off. In addition to the tried-and-true gameplay of hacking and slashing monsters while exploring dungeons, it has new playable characters, a non-linear, single-player campaign, and multiplayer games that can be played cooperatively. There are two distinct modes to choose from when playing the game: Normal and Elite. The player has access to various playable characters, each of which can be personalized as they level into Hero and Legendary classes.
There are a wide variety of companion animals and playthings available. The gameplay consists of rotating between different pets and friends, each of which has unique abilities. Fight nearly a hundred monsters, some of which come from the Dungeon Siege realm, and many are brand-new creatures.
In a coordinated campaign, you and a friend can play together, and you both have the option to bring a pet or partner with you. There are also multiplayer “Battle Arenas” in the game for gamers who don’t have the time to play through an entire campaign.
