This fan-made patch aims to fix game crashes and return the experience to how it should have been.
Originally created by Rare and slated to be published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, Dinosaur Planet was subsequently intended for the Nintendo GameCube. The game was initially meant to be a stand-alone title with no connection to the Star Fox franchise.
According to a Shigeru Miyamoto interview, the game’s characters and those of Star Fox are remarkably similar, and as a result, it was decided to include the game as part of Star Fox as a launch title for the Nintendo GameCube. There are still a lot of development assets left over from the game, which allowed “Star Fox Adventures” to develop from the project that Rare abandoned because Nintendo insisted that it be a Star Fox game for the GameCube.
