BurgerTime is an adventure game released by Data East in 1982. Game that simulates work in the kitchen of a bakery chef. The images in BurgerTime are familiar and suitable for all ages. With a simple but equally attractive gameplay, the game promises to bring an interesting experience to players.
In the game, players will play the role of a chef to create burgers. The ingredients are arranged on the shelves of the kitchen. Each compartment will contain material to create cakes such as patties, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. However, this job is not as simple as they think. Many types of enemies such as unsuitable meat and spices constantly appear on the shelves. Players have to move flexibly to avoid choosing those dangerous materials. Players will destroy enemies on the shelves of the kitchen in many ways. They will use a pepper shaker, the only weapon in the game to attack the enemy. When detecting enemies appearing in any compartment of food, they need to quickly move in and use a limited amount of pepper to attack directly on the enemy. When attacked, the enemy will be stunned for a short time. Players quickly choose the right food to complete their pie before the enemy returns to sabotage.
The game is divided into several levels with increasing difficulty. The number of enemies on the compartments appears more and the movement speed is faster. In each level, players will have to make foods such as Hot Dog, Pickle, and Egg. When starting a new level, they will be provided with a guide to help them complete the task. Players must remember the food production process because each type of food will have different ingredients. When finished, they will take the product out of the kitchen with an accompanying food such as coffee or ice cream. That will help players get more shaker pepper and certain bonus points. Collecting lots of pepper shakers will make the food production process safer and easier for them. The game ends when the player completes all assigned tasks.
