Inspired by a movie of the same name, Back to the Future is an adventure-type game released in 1989. The plot revolves around the character Marty McFly, a schoolboy who accidentally returned to the past when his car powered by nuclear fuel. Waking up in 1955, Marty McFly met Lorraine Baines and George McFly, who were the parents of the young boy. The sudden appearance of Marty McFly has made the boy’s future can be changed. Marty McFly’s mother liked the boy and Marty McFly’s father was constantly bullied and beaten by friends. Marty McFly must try to do everything to protect his father from Biff and his bullying team as well as reject his mother’s affection and help the two lovers. If not, it would all be meaningless when the family photo he brought would disappear and he would not be able to return to the present. The story ends when Marty McFly succeeds and returns to reality.
The game is divided into several stages. At the beginning of the game, Marty McFly has all 3 lives and cannot be increased. A timer will start to start at each level. At the same time, Marty McFly’s family photo will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, indicating when the level is completed. The goal of Marty McFly is to collect a hundred clock-shaped items to increase the counter time and avoid the disappearance of the future. If the counter ends when Marty McFly has not collected enough required clocks, his family photo will disappear and he will lose a life. If all three lives are lost, the game will end and the player must play again from the beginning. In the process of collecting watches, Marty McFly will be prevented by thugs. He can destroy them by throwing bowling balls at the opponent or flee by collecting items shaped like shoes to increase the running speed. At the end of each stage, Marty McFly will have to deal with three situations: pushing Biff Tannen’s bullying gang out of the cafe, avoiding all the kisses that Lorraine sent Marty in the shape of small hearts. Finally, use the guitar correctly to make George and Lorraine kiss.
Passing the above stages will bring Marty McFly to the final stage. During this period, Marty McFly had to find a way to use the time machine at night. The boy had to control the car to avoid obstacles to accelerate to a minimum of 88 miles per hour. If you do that, Marty McFly will return to reality and the game will be over.
