Star Ocean: Second Evolution is a remastered version of the Playstation 1 role-playing game Star Ocean: The Second Story for the PSP. The plot and storyline remain the same, but many aspects have been improved or completely recreated.
In terms of gameplay, there are multiple new controllable characters, more interactivity between the characters, and enhancements to the fighting system. The background and character graphics have all been improved, and new animated cutscenes and character facial expressions have been added. The audio has also been updated, with fully voiced, localized dialogue and contemporary music with Japanese influences.
