2016 is the year in question. Unidentified terrorists take control of an airliner and hijack it. On board the aircraft is Senator Hach, a prominent politician in the United States who has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the nation’s presidency. The terrorists need something from the government of the United States in exchange for the senator. You have no idea what that something is, but it has been given the code name “Pythagoras” for security reasons. Since the government does not want to hand it over to the terrorist, it has tasked you, the well-known special agent Solid Snake, with rescuing the senator and determining the perpetrators of the hijacking.
The gameplay of “Metal Gear Acid” is very different from that of the other games in the series, even though it takes place in the same universe as the other Metal Gear games and has graphics visually similar to those seen in the PS2 games in the series. The “Metal Gear Acid” gameplay blends basic stealth mechanics with strategic elements. It is a game in which you take turns, and each turn consists of planning which playing cards you will use from the deck you have available. Each card denotes a different action, such as attacking, moving, or other things. To remain unnoticed, you will need to plan your activities carefully. Additionally, you will need to plan to determine which cards you will want to save for the following round and which cards you are willing to sacrifice to make a compelling play immediately.
