The animated Marvel television series inspires the beat-em-up action game Marvel Super Hero Squad, which may be played by one to four people simultaneously.
The action takes place in Super Hero City, where the Super Hero Squad is up against Dr. Doom’s Lethal Legion, comprised of various evildoers. According to the legend, the powerful Infinity Sword broke a very long time ago, and now Dr. Doom and his followers are looking for the fragments of the sword, known as the Infinity Fractals. Each fractal holds tremendous power and bestows unique abilities on whoever possesses it. Super Hero City is in jeopardy, and the only ones who can save the day are the members of the Super Hero Squad!
With such a plot line, there would inevitably be a lot of combat, even though players can target their foes and toss things in addition to using long-range assaults. Players can compete against one another in Battle Mode, or they can choose to play through the game’s narrative in Adventure Mode. The game may be played in two different modes, each of which offers a unique combination of gameplay and features:
Adventure Mode is for two players and provides them with six different campaigns to complete to retrieve the Infinity Fractals and get new and enhanced abilities.
- The opportunity to take control of any of these heroes while playing the game: the Hulk, the Falcon, Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, or Wolverine.
- Spider-Man and Doctor Doom star in their respective unlocked story arcs.
- Play requires cooperation.
- Characters, arenas of combat, and outfits that can be unlocked.
You can compete against up to three other players in the Battle Mode.
- Take on the role of a hero or a villain during the battle.
- You can pick from more than 20 different characters, some from the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers.
- Make use of combo attacks and design your own.
