Loco Roco 2

The ominous Moja Troop reappeared when the LocoRoco assumed that everyone was secure and joyful. The LocoRoco enjoy singing, but the Moja have now learned a song of their own – one that is so terrible that it can drain the life force from anyone and everything alive! Once more, the player needs to exercise control over the world to ensure the safety of the LocoRoco and the entire planet!

The LocoRoco 2 video game continues the LocoRoco PSP video game. The player, much as in the first version of the game, has control over the globe and can tilt it by pressing the Left and Right Arrow Buttons on the PSP. When both L and R are pressed simultaneously, the player can cause the globe to tremble, which causes the LocoRoco to jump. When you scare the LocoRoco by pressing the Circle button, they will break up into smaller groups and become more mobile due to being able to fit through smaller openings. The ability to hold Circle fuses them back together into a single massive LocoRoco.

As the players explore the world of the LocoRoco, they will come across locations where Moja’s terrible singing has corrupted. Using the LocoRoco to strike the black blobby patches, the poison will be broken up, and the area will be returned to its previous state. Players can eliminate Mojas for themselves in the same manner. While the player navigates the levels with the LocoRoco, they will come across musical notes. If the player collects sufficient notes, they will be rewarded with additional assistance in navigating the levels. The game will present the user with mini-games here and there in which they must tap along to the beat of LocoRoco’s songs to gain additional musical notes.

This mini-game, which is new to LocoRoco 2, is called Loco Rider, and it can be played wirelessly in ad-hoc mode with as many as four players. The game’s objective is to trap your adversaries in the thorns by using your LocoRoco to reduce their size before they can do the same to you.
