The game is primarily a first-person shooter in the world of Ghost in the Shell, allowing players to take control of four different characters: Major Motoko, Batou, Togusa, and Saito. Depending on which one is selected, the game will have a flavor that’s all its own, thanks to each playable character’s unique abilities and characteristics. In addition, there are four distinct Tachikoma mini-tanks, each of which can be brought along on the mission and has its own set of statistics and personality.
The Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex story continues with a brand-new episode that can be experienced by playing the single-player mode. A terrorist gang has taken valuable paperwork describing a historic rebellion in the Arctic. After then, it will be up to you to recover the missing paperwork and investigate the circumstances surrounding its disappearance.
You are restricted from combining playable characters and Tachikomas in any of the game’s ad-hoc multiplayer modes, so choose your character or Tachikoma carefully. There are four different ad-hoc multiplayer modes to choose from: free-for-all, team deathmatch, free-for-all vs. AI, and free-for-all vs. AI. The maximum number of players can compete in a multiplayer game is six.
