The fourth installment in the Tak video game series, Tak and the Guardians of Gross, is a third-person, top-down platformer. While doing his job duties of cleaning a shrine, Tak causes the accidental release of four giant beasts known as Big Gs. Now that he has them back, he needs to discover a means to get rid of them permanently by tracking down the four individuals who know how to do it, one for each creature.
You assume control as Tak travels across the wilderness to correct his mistake. The gameplay involves traversing platforms and defeating foes using a magical staff you control. The game also includes several minigames that may be played simultaneously with a friend.
