Atrévete a Soar, often known as Dare to Dream, is a music game inspired by a telenovela from Mexico with the same name. Up to four players can take on the role of Patito or Antonella, two of the show’s main characters, and perform songs from the front by singing, dancing, or doing both. Players can choose which character they want to play. The game features a microphone, and to participate in the singing portion, the player must keep their voice at the appropriate pitch and length indicated by horizontal bars. This aspect of the game is very similar to the SingStar series, and it takes place while the lyrics scroll by in a karaoke-style format. For the dancing portion of the game, the screen will display directional cues, and the player will need to tilt the Wii Remote in the appropriate direction at the proper time, just like in the Just Dance series of games. In the meantime, animated figures based on the show’s cast members may be seen singing and dancing in the background.
After the song, a score is given for the performance. The game features 20 songs from the show, 10 different scenarios, and 19 characters from the original series. Players can design their characters based on the game’s 50 parts.
