Solstice is an adventure game developed by Software Creations and published by Nintendo in 1990. The game revolves around the character Shadax, he Princess Eleanor will be rescued from the evil devil Morbius in Kâstleröck fortress. Players will control Shadax mage to pass 250 levels of the game to find all 4 key pieces. When you find all 4 key pieces, you will find Princess Eleanor’s place of imprisonment and rescue her. At each level, there will be different challenges that players need to overcome. Shadax has basic abilities including jumping, walking and picking up items. At the beginning of the game, you receive a pair of elfin shoes that increase Shadax’s movement speed and dancing ability.

You will face the dangers including floor covered with spikes, bottomless floors, giant creatures such as spiders, demons … At each level, there will be mobile blocks that can be found on the map. You can use these blocks to move or evade enemies. Take advantage of the available things to move to the door that opens to the next level most easily. In addition, you can use detonating bombs to create a way that can overcome the dangers most easily. However, some rooms will be locked and cannot be entered normally. You will need a key to open these rooms.
When you find the blue witch hat scattered in the levels, you will get more lives. However, monsters will and challenges will not allow you to easily pick them up. At the beginning of the game, players will be given 10 lives. You can accumulate more lives for the first time. When you touch monsters or do not overcome the challenges of the game, you will lose your life. Instead of restarting the game when you’ve lost your life, you can pick up the coins scattered in the map. These coins will help you return to a certain level when you have used up your life. Players will win when they have found all 4 keys.
