In Dragon Quest II’s new battle, players continue to participate in team-fighting challenges. You will control 3 different characters to defeat the bad guys who are plotting to rule the world with dark magic. The plot of this version involves the task of defeating the dark witch, Hargon. He is planning to summon Malroth monsters from hell to rule the world. Moonbrooke Castle was attacked by Hargon and a fortunate soldier escaped the attack. He quickly went to see King Midenhall to announce the event. Later, the king asked his son Prince Midenhall to perform a dangerous mission. To protect the kingdom, the prince will have to destroy Hargon alone.
Receiving a quest from the king, Prince Midenhall begins this dangerous journey. In the process of moving, Prince Midenhall met Prince Cannock and both of them have the same mission to destroy Hargon to protect the world. The two then head to Moonbrooke Castle to search for information related to Hargon. Here, the two have rescued Princess Moonbrooke. Before that, she had been turned into a dog by the dark witch. Next, the three main characters of the game will move in a magical boat to travel to different lands and search for Hargon. Upon reaching Alefgard, they meet the Dragonlord’s nephew – the villain of the previous version. There, they receive a hint on how to destroy the witch Hargon. They need to collect 5 artefacts hidden in different places in the world to create Rubiss Charm. With the Rubiss Charm, they were able to defeat the witch Hargon and the demon Malroth on the Rhone plateau.
The gameplay of this version is somewhat similar to the previous version. However, the manufacturer has prepared many new types of weapons and spells for players to use. You still engage in group battles. However, you need to pass through various stages of the game to collect new characters. In order to defeat Hargon and Malroth, you need to explore different dungeons or mountains to collect artefacts. Each land you discover will have a different manager (king, village elder …). Talk to these managers and they will provide you with important information to complete the task. In addition, each region will have different towns. In these towns, you can buy support items or equip character (armour, weapons …) by dealing with people. Finally, each character will be designed with a separate inventory with 8 different storage cells. From there, players can manage items suitable for each character more easily.
