City Connection is an adventure game developed and released by Jaleco in 1985. The plot of the game is relatively simple. Players will play the role of Clarice, a blue-haired guy who owns a trendy hatchback. Clarice drove his car around the capitals and major cities around the world and marked the places he had been to. In turn from New York, Paris, London to other famous places, no matter where to go, Clarice wants to prove to everyone that he has ever been there. His hobbies seem to be great, but they are indiscriminate actions, causing world traffic disorder. So, throughout his journey, Clarice went everywhere and the police chased and stopped.
The game is divided into stages. During the first twelve stages, Clarice traveled through most famous locations around the world including Japan, China, Paris, and Easter Island. From the twelfth stage onwards, the game will repeat locations like the first twelve with higher difficulty. Each stage consists of floors painted with white borders, most of which are three floors. To pass the stages, the player must drive through all the paths shown on the screen bypassing them, whichever section has been passed, which section will be painted white. The car can move between floors by jumping. During the move, police cars will always follow Clarice. However, he can collect oil-barreled items so he can strike back against a police car or crash directly to push them to another lane. The police could not be killed temporarily but only stunned for a short time, enough for Clarice to escape their encirclement. In addition, at each segment of the road will appear random strangers standing waving flags. Clarice cannot overcome them in any way and if he stays on a road section for too long without moving to another road, spikes will emerge from the pavement destroying Clarice and knocking down his vehicle. He to play again from the beginning because the car was broken. Sometimes, players will be supported by some functional items in the form of balloons appear randomly. If a minimum of three fruits is collected, the player is immediately awarded a significant number of points.
