On May 25, 2018, Milgram355 released SM64: Stars of the Beast ROM Hack. It has 140 Stars, one of the most needed to fight Final Bowser.
It’s easier than “King Boo’s Revenge”, “Super Mario Treasure World”, “SM64 Masters Challenge” and others, but many players rate it 5/5 hard. Many levels have slippery terrain, wind, and hidden stars. The 2nd Bowser Course and “The Big Six” Worlds are harder, especially for 100-coin Stars.
Level designs in this hack reference Iron Maiden, Mario Party, and Pokémon.
Next year, “Stars of the Beast 2: Legend of the Crystal Stars” was released.
