Kaze Emanuar is the creator of the ROM hack known as Doki Doki Mario 64. This game takes its name from the popular dating simulation Doki Doki Literature Club, which is also known for subverting some of the conventions associated with the genre.
This hack is a parody of dating simulations, in which Mario enrolls in a high school and is given the option to pursue romantic relationships with any one of twelve different potential students.
The fact that Stars can be collected from the Star Fields whenever the player pleases is a distinctive feature of this game. Rather than serving as a reward for completing an objective, stars are viewed more as a means of advancing each girl’s route or as currency with which to purchase unique items. This game features very little actual combat, and Mario is immune to any kind of harm or loss of health. In spite of the fact that the game is based on a meme, there is an actual story that unfolds as you play it. In order to view the real ending, the player must complete each girl’s route at least once.
