Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is based on the same-named family film.
Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Mellman feel homesick for their previous home of New York Zoo and decide to return there as soon as possible after becoming acclimated to being stuck there. They repair an old crashed jet with the help of the penguins and set out toward New York with the penguins, monkeys, and King Julian in tow. Unfortunately, they have mechanical troubles and crash land in Africa, where Alex meets his father, Marty encounters more zebras, and Gloria finds love. However, they must first save Savannah from a water deficit.
You will be able to control all four main characters while playing. To progress through the game, you must complete various objectives to aid your escape from Africa, such as sneaking the penguins through the human camp to get supplies, assisting Gloria in searching caves for hidden treasure while avoiding crocodiles and chasing a human convoy with a penguin-driven car to get supplies.
Multiplayer tournaments include four-player soccer, mini golf, jungle chess, musical chairs, and volcano dance.
