Tetris is a logical thinking game designed by a Soviet software engineer named Alexey Pajitnov in June 1984. As a mathematician and is working at Dorodnitsyn Computer Center of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. He loves geometry and the puzzles are made of them. Therefore, Alexey Pajitnov developed a game to satisfy his passion for geometry. The name Tetris was coined by Alexey Pajitnov based on a combination of the Greek prefix tetra and tennis as his favorite sport. At that time, this was the first game that the United States imported from the Soviet Union. Because of its versatility, the game is compatible with nearly every gaming device and computer operating system, as well as on devices such as computers and mobile phones. In January 2010, it was announced that this was one of the most successful commercialized games and had sold more than a total of over 170 million copies. About 70 million copies are sales with CDs and 100 million copies are downloaded on mobile phones. This has turned it into the second best-selling paid download game of all time after Minecraft.
When entering the game, players will see the pieces that the game provides shaped like tetrominoes – a geometric block made up of four squares of the same size. Each puzzle when falling will have a certain color like blue, red, yellow. A series of random Tetriminos that fall into the playing field will be shaped like a vertical axis of a rectangle, matrix, or pyramid … The goal of the game is to manipulate these bricks by moving them to the left or to the right. If you feel the puzzle is in position, then you can press the key down so it can move faster, saving you time. Players can also rotate bricks in different quadrant angles so that they form new bricks that fit the placement. Tetriminos chains need to be lined up in a row horizontally. When such a line is formed, it will disappear and any bricks above it will fill that space. When certain lines are deleted, the game will enter a new level. As the game progresses, each level will make Tetriminos fall faster and the game ends when Tetriminos stack up to the top of the playing field and no new bricks can fall down anymore. The game will also end after a certain level or finite line.
