Jeanne d’Arc

It is the 15th century, and England and France are engaged in the Hundred Years’ War. A little French girl from Domremy attempting to aid her father with his daily labors discovers a remarkable object: an armlet that miraculously bonds around her wrist. The town is soon assaulted, and she moves forward with the first weapon she can find to confront the enemy, some humanoid monsters. Using the armlet for power, hearing a mysterious voice, and with the help of her close friends, she defeats them and starts on a long adventure to help her compatriots and fight the evil forces attacking France.

Jeanne d’Arc is a Japanese turn-based strategy RPG game that combines medieval history with fantasy and the crazy of Japanese anime. This is a well-known story repeated through tactical fights one after the other, with game language and hand-drawn visuals twisting the plot into new areas.

It’s the narrative of a teen’s friendship and dedication, a ruthless conflict, dark sorcery, unavoidable death, heartbreak desertion, and cleansing hope. Jeanne joins the army and marches with 14 companions of all abilities and personalities to meet England’s Henry VI’s forces. Other armlet wielders are with her, able to employ them and become fearsome warriors capable of striking down evil at its core. The game has a map that allows you to wander across regions where combat that advance the story takes place and free stages that contribute little more than enjoyment, powerful items, and brutal monsters.
